I have been working at Best Buy full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Lots of Room to move up, and plenty of opportunities to learn new skills about computers and other electronics and appliance commodities.

Cons

Numbers culture is definitely a factor, while not focused on constantly, they are brought up enough to remind you that you are worth more to them if you have bigger numbers rather than have a good work ethic. (Reiterated many times through many coworkers.)

Advice to Management

quit, hiding everything behind buzzwords, and act with more realism. The corporate culture isn't everything. Act like people from time to time.

I have been working at Best Buy full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Full timers get excellent benefits w/ tuition assistance and are put in positions of team leadership on a day to day basis.

    Cons

Management doesn't pay enough attention to feedback, organization and fairness, and career development and growth.

    Advice to Management

Management has access to tons of forms which assists them in getting to know the likes, dislikes, and aspirations for career development of there employees. I never knew that until I started digging myself. Management should be more knowledgable about day to day operations instead of strictly where the budget lyes and they should pay much more attention to career development and growth for the more promising employees. They should simply care more.
