Pros

Good pay and benefits with flexible hours.

Cons

Managers tend to micro manage, are very disrespectful of employees and customers, there is no training system in place.

Advice to Management

Stop pushing numbers on employees and actually teach employees how to practice customer service. Bring back classroom training and do away with e-learnings that your managers are taking for their employees out of compliance. Validate your training by doing 90 day follow ups or even put quotas on CSI instead of the GSP your employees sell. Your managers only care about the numbers and not the experience of the customer nor the employee. Most of your managers can't even begin to articulate process and procedure let alone how to overcome objections. It seems the only sentences they know are "Call 1-888-bestbuy." Or "How much have you sold today?"

I worked at Best Buy part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great employees to work with, good

    Cons

demanding sales goals that are beyond obtainable, work dynamic is stressful, a good sale is never good enough, never enough labor given to supply the demand of employee help on the sales floor.

    Advice to Management

stop listening to your shareholders so much and recreate the fun work environment and employee perks as a reminder that there is an upside to stressful days
