I have been working at Best Buy full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The Employee discount is really nice. Benefits are decent for full timers. Tuition assistance for students. One team one dream atmosphere. Well structured in-store plan. Ability to transfer within the company and change career paths. The recent Renew Blue plan pushed by the CEO is creating a positive outlook with associates and customers.

    Cons

Everyday system tools can fail without warning. Job security with recent restructure and store closings. Uphill battle to regain public image, although attainable.

    Advice to Management

Corporate pressure can hurt store performance with unattainable goals given to store management resulting in line level employees focusing on performance goals versus the customer experience and satisfaction.
