I have been working at Best Buy part-time (Less than a year)

Pros

the reward program for working at best buy is pretty nice and very useful if you buy a lot of electronics or video games. Also the hours are never to bad and every other weekend for me.

Cons

Sometimes it gets really busy on the weekends and it seems as if there are not enough employees to handle the sheer amount of guest and they will not call people in for help.

Advice to Management

make sure we are always properly staffed and continue to give us recognition or perks to do good.

I have been working at Best Buy full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Employee Discounts, Benefits, Work within your availability .

    Cons

Stuck working Holidays and Weekends, Company is extremely unorganized and it seems every 6 months to a year they restructure how departments are ran. Corporate has no clue what actually goes on in the physical stores. Raises are a joke, multiple long term hourly employees report getting bare minimal raises even though their quality of work is above average. I'm talking .15 cents to .35 cents. Underpaid computer technicians.

    Advice to Management

Corporate needs to actually send someone to physically work in stores for a month before just deciding to make changes without testing thoroughly before doing so . Get rid of the management that doesn't put forth effort in helping out on the sales floor from time to time. Managers that sit in the admin office all day , everyday are not useful to the company.
