I have been working at Best Buy full-time

    Pros

Stores generally open at 10 and close at 9. Employees get great discounts on accessories.

    Cons

Most training at our store is trial by fire. The "Learning Lounge" training that employees are supposed to take teaches employees nothing. You can select whatever answers you want, write down the correct ones, then go back and retake the quiz, and then you get a 100% on the quiz and are certified. This leads to employees having no knowledge of products or what they are talking about. Managers are apathetic, employees try to avoid customers at all costs, so they can converse with one another. Managers demand we follow SOP but will break SOP anytime it makes their job slightly easier.

    Advice to Management

Learn Business Ethics, treat employees how you would want to be treated.
