Advice to Management

Don't hold your employees to such high standards to where they literally want to quit.

    I worked at Best Buy part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Very generous employee discount, meetings with vendors were fun, a lot of room to move up in the company.

    Cons

    Far too much emphasis is placed on selling service plans. Even though you aren't commissioned, you must still make a quota or face the consequences. Supervisors do nothing but belittle employees who do not make quota. Associates will do whatever it takes to make this quota, even if it means having a customer leave the store for not purchasing a service plan. This type of pressure creates unwanted stress in the work environment, and for this reason, it is not a good job for college students.

    Advice to Management

    Value the customer, whether they want to purchase a service plan or not.
