I have been working at Best Buy full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

The benefits, pay, and training that is emphasized makes the job worth the time. there's a bonus structure in place that gives employees an incentive to perform. There's a company wide culture of developing employees into future leaders. The 401k package and tuition reimbursement are fantastic as well.

Cons

The hours and craziness during the holiday season can be a little overwhelming. At times, the goals set by store management versus Corp may be unrealistic at times. Not a huge fan of the return exchange policy either.

Advice to Management

Staff proactively, work harder to make employees better, and always be approachable!!

I worked at Best Buy part-time

    Pros

If you work at a store and you are not management, you work your hours and then you can go home. Done. Don't have to think about it.

    Cons

Store management sucks. It depends on the manager, but who schedules people for a 7 hour shift without a break, not even 15 minutes?
Hires with the promise of being able to apply for better opportunities within the company, but those are empty promises. You'd have to kiss ass for quite a few years to get anywhere that pays something more than $10/hour.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your customer facing employees. They are the ones your customers meet, not all of you sitting in your fancy office chair.
