Not much of a pay raise every year.

I worked at Best Buy part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

-fun if you are interested in learning about technology
-co-workers are usually pleasant to be around, including managers
    -nice atmosphere

    Cons

-retail electronic stores are becoming more and more irrelevant due to internet businesses like Amazon, which are designed to cut costs and pass those savings to customers
-no commissions, except "team commission" for mobile department (stupid idea)
-terrible workers seem to get a pass while hard workers don't really get noticed
-scheduling is inconsistent from week to week
-used disgusting tactics to try to get rid of people when the economy took a hit, which forced many of my co-workers and I to get fired or to "quit" even though most of us were good workers

    Advice to Management

-try not to be so slimy and be upfront about situations that involve your "subordinates" possibly losing their job (aka Downsizing) instead of going behind their backs and doing things to get them fired
-maybe hire supervisors that actually have extensive knowledge about the product in their departments

  2. "Flexible and decent pay"
