I have been working at Best Buy part-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Good people to work with a customer interactions. Sales position isn't that stressful and the work environment is usually positive.

Cons

Hours tend to fluctuate a lot for part time employees. Certain items or services are pushed to be offered even if its not relative to the customer.

Advice to Management

Keep being inspirational to employees.

    If you are a cashier and your numbers aren't good people won't respect you

    Stress to the sales associates the importance of the cashier's role.

    Pros

    developing good people skills, friendly environment, good discounts, flexible schedule, learning selling skills

    Cons

    constant evaluation and being shadowed and watched to sell and perform, no breaks guaranteed unless you work more than 7 hours and 15 minutes

    Advice to Management

    Guarantee a 15 minute break for between 4 hours and 7 hours and 15 minutes. Also if someone works over 10 hours, give more than a 30 minute break.
