    Pros

You get to work with people with diverse backgrounds, there are opportunities to advance within the company and internal portals to apply for different positions

    Cons

No such thing as a holiday as you are expected to work holidays, going out of town isn't an excuse here. If you're part time they won't allow you to request off for holiday seasons but they also won't schedule you on the actual holiday in order to avoid paying time and a half. No benefits for PT and the benefits are to expensive for most FT to afford.

I worked at Best Buy full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very flexible PT hours, great place for students to learn retail. Excellent opportunities for sales experience.

    Cons

Training is the worst I have seen in years. Most of the training is done by your peers who know how to do the task but are unqualified to train.... They can tell you what to do but not why. Antiquated systems. To many redundant policies and procedures that prevent efficient daily operations. Sales staff for the most part only "feature dump" to customers with out providing benefits of items....

    Advice to Management

Hire some accomplished retail pro's from other successful organizations and listen to their ideas. Consider paying sales staff commissions to attract a better staff. Management team needs to manage employee behaviors more than just managing numbers.....
