I worked at Best Buy part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Employee discount was stellar (although this has changed), became familiar with newest electronics, managers were friendly in their approach to the empoyees

    Cons

Disagreed with sales strategy, store was disorganized, sales numbers came before customer service, best buy employs good salesmen before knowledgeable associates, managers are more worried about making their numbers than anything else

    Advice to Management

Customer service sucks and the prices of accessories are way to high. Any sales plan that relies on expensive accessories or the sales of protection plans to make profits will eventually fail. Why should I pay 29.99 for an HDMI cable when I can buy the same one online for 5.99 and without the poor customer service? Best Buy is going to be on its way out unless it can modernize and start to compete with Amazon and others like it.
