I worked at Best Buy full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Awesome work environment. Flexibility of schedule/work-life balance, fun fast paced business model. People are team oriented.

Cons

Very political, time in chair becomes important for advancement. Consumer electronics market, and for that matter any retail market, goes through intense seasonal swings.

Advice to Management

Give opportunity to younger employees. Younger generations need to see advancement potential otherwise they will create their own opportunities elsewhere. Mentoring becomes a hige part in pursuading people to stay with the company.

I have been working at Best Buy part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

A great environment, managers push you always give your best, competitive, if you really try you get a chance to grow within the company and also a alright pay

    Cons

Sometimes management tend to promise you things but it never happens or it happens really really late. I've been working a whole year and I've been waiting 7 months for a full time position that I've been promised for since then...

    Advice to Management

It would be more profesional to not promise your employees without doing it first because if you guys promises us something and it never happens we lose some respect for that and also trust..
