I worked at Best Buy full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

If you are a business major and want to learn about the inner working of a major fortune 500 company then Best Buy is for you. They are forthcoming and transparent on how they run their entity.

    Cons

It is a challenging environment as far as discrimination, inappropriate relationships and in certain locations women may find themselves not being valued.

    Advice to Management

Create an environment where women are comfortable and encouraged to grow professionally. Stop the social promotions.

I have been working at Best Buy full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Working at bestbuy for more than a year is a great experince in learning and growing. The company has a fantastic and unique culture that no other retail company can compare to. The values are high and youll always find somone teaching you and preparing you to move up in the company or elsewhere

    Cons

Sometimes due to the challenging demands of bestbuy, you will really have to work hard and make sacarifices even when your off you have to be prepared to do somthing for bestbuy. Somtimes its not for everyone especially when they dont agree with pay. job security can sometimes can be tense.

    Advice to Management

I dont have to much advice for management but more for corporate. Corporate bestbuy works really hard to change things but i dont think they really think about the choises they make for us. The CEO isnt really sparking the company. I feel they should be more involed and really think about all the choices they make for the moral of the employees
