I have been working at Best Buy full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Great leadership, the company is going in the right direction. Great work life balance, great bonus program.

Cons

Culture still has a way to go, the company has trouble moving at the speed of change needed to execute.

Advice to Management

The company has a great direction but the basic inferstructure does not support the management goals and the speed and which we need to run for the retail world. By the time we get anything done with IT it is outdated and not of the use that it was when requested.

I have been working at Best Buy part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The discounts are awesome. The ability to stay knowledgeable on all the latest devices and services.

    Cons

The pay sucks. Your raises are based on the "stores" total performance . So basically individually you could have did good, but if the store was under performing it will affect your raise. The managers are not good at rewarding the path to excellence points are a sorry way to reward the employees. The can be used for points in the store. That is lame.

    Advice to Management

The raises could be better. Full time benefits are not that great. Employees are expect to meet quotas but you get nothing for meeting them.
