Pros

Benefits are great!
Medical, Dental, Vision, Matching 401K and Tuition reimbursement. Employee Accommodation and discounts.
Development is highly encouraged for those that seek it out. They provide a lot of resources.
Compensation is good.

Cons

Sometimes you run into bad managers. So its a good idea to do research before taking a new position.

Advice to Management

Understand and know your employees. Sometime personalities don't always get along. The employee might be a good worker and actually function better under someone else's leadership. So let the pride go and help them into a different role under new management.

I used to think it was always the employee's fault and not my leadership skills. Help them succeed.

    Pros

Working with technology and all types of people. Working at Best Buy is like working at a huge toy store for adults! Plenty of opportunity to grow. It's a solid company with a valuable brand identity.

    Cons

Working retail schedules. Not a Monday through Friday, 9 to 5 schedule. Often work weekends. It's not bad and the schedules are flexible.

    Advice to Management

Continue to keep the Best Buy brands fresh and interesting. Keep Best Buy relevant and keep thinking outside the box.

    Pros

very flexible with your school schedule if you are a college student. My store had good leadership but I have worked in the store before when they had weak management so it all depends on that issue. I enjoy working here

    Cons

The pay could be bettwe and there are really no benefits for PT employees

    Advice to Management

just depends on who your management is in your store
