    Approves of CEO

    Pros

Del Monte has really wonderful management, they are run extremely well and employees are treated very well.

    Cons

Most jobs are seasonal. Some of the front office staff can be difficult to work with, but I can understand since they have to deal with a lot of idiots on a regular basis.

    Approves of CEO

    Pros

Great heritage brands with lots of potential, smart and high-caliber people, great San Francisco location, competitive salary, and solid brand name for resume. New CEO is also a really good and personable guy, so there's hope that Del Monte might actually get better.

    Cons

Total lack of brand building, constant fire drills and budget cuts, finance versus marketing focus, low employee morale, extremely limited career development and advancement opportunities, political in-fighting and bickering between VP's, need to be a total jerk and bully in order to get ahead. Also, absolute worst HR organization ever.

    Advice to Management

Listen to people and trust them to do their jobs.
Start living the company's values of "Respect" and "Winning Together"
Get rid of the jerks and bullies
Start holding managers accountable for the development of their people.
