I have been working at BioFire Diagnostics full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

casual atmosphere, culture fosters continued learning, flexible hours, great location, I feel as though you have many talented individuals who all work hard.

Cons

there is some clutter with lack of standardization in documentation and some weight throwing but overall not too bad.

Advice to Management

promote more within. look for hidden talents and use those talents

I have been working at BioFire Diagnostics full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible hours and great coworkers. You generally get to do your own thing until time to "move it up the chain".

    Cons

Internal promotions and raises are non existent considering how well the company is doing financially. Complete lack of leadership from upper management stifles innovation and problem solving. Multiple competing "fiefdoms" that all do the same thing in the R&D division create tension between groups.

    Advice to Management

Hire and promote from within. This is the first company I've ever worked for that didn't have an annual raise and review session for it's employees. More sick time, the fact that PTO is the same as sick days is pathetic. Other competing employers in Research Park area have twice the time off. Paltry compensation compared to companies nationwide.
Promote and reward skilled employees, the amount of talent that is forced out of the company due to apathy on the managements part is near criminal.
