I worked at BlackBerry as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Lots of co-ops made for a fun social environment. Plenty of activities outside the office to participate in. Money was good relative to my experience, plenty of opportunities to go back and join whatever team I wanted.

    Cons

Company structure is too bureaucratic and compartmentalized, which I believe stifles innovation. Some of the senior employees on the team relied heavily on a bunch of co-ops to do work for them while they spent entire days making personal calls.

    Advice to Management

Encourage employees to take initiative and be more receptive to changes in process. Maybe rely a little less on co-ops.
