    I have been working at BlackLine full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Some brilliant employees with some incredible knowledge and a friendly helpful core values from some. Breakfast paid for every Thursday and work from home every other Friday. Plus a free kitchen with a well stocked fridge , all the makings for a great company culture.

    Cons

    There are some levels of management who really beg belief how they got to that position. One team in-particular i have seen and heard no end of complaining with an aggressive attitude and public shaming/ humiliating that quite frankly in some circles is considered bullying . I saw one member almost reduced to tears as he was openly humiliated by one manager in particular for the most remedial reason and threatened to be fired! New idea's to assist the team are shot down instantly with no remorse and your told to get in line or get out.

    Advice to Management

    There needs to be a long hard look at your management team, particularly junior ranked members who throw there weight around as if they're acting directors. Allowing your staff to be treated in that manner is the reason of high turnover and a destructive atmosphere. Create a culture that HQ believes there is, make it fun and exciting work environment where you can actually voice an opinion.

    I worked at BlackLine full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Market leading product with some innovative ideas
    - CEO, CRO & CEO all caring and inspirational - makes you want to do well for the company
    - Well stocked fridge, casual dress in the office, good pay
    - Excellent training (although can be a little overbearing)

    Cons

    - Limited lead generation means targets are extremely difficult to achieve
    - Some poor hires in key jobs & ineffective back office makes day to day functions very tricky
    - Lack of trust in the sales force
    - Casual approach to implementation means more advanced projects tend to go astray
    - Don't get sick for any longer than a week, you will have your pay stopped.
    - Huge focus on growth at all costs results in a lot of stress

    Advice to Management

    Sell out to SAP
