Cons

ludicrous sales goals
horrible communication
sell or you are fired mentality

Advice to Management

Try spending one day in an actual store and trying to sell customers everything that you tell your employees to sell. customers do not want to be harassed to buy a pass or a candy bundle everytime they come in the store. It is obvious that upper management in this company has no clue what the customers really want. It is also obvious that you do not care one single bit about your employees. maybe you will finally get the picture when you don't have a job in about a year because you have driven the company into the ground!

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

It's a great job where you can learn very basic management traits. You can be promoted quickly to a shift leader, but you will most likely stay in this position for several years until the management above you either quits or is fired.

    Cons

They promote anyone. You could end up with a shift leader who doesn't put any effort in doing anything above the bare minimum. Another big con about Blockbuster is that you could be there for 10 years and still be getting paid $10 an hour. They rarely give raises and if they do it's very small, like 5 to 10 cents every two years.

    Advice to Management

Your employees need more pay just because they have to endure angry customers on a daily basis due to your outrageous late fee charges and high prices.
