"A struggle with "group think" management -- who are not really interested in the needs of today's health care consumers."

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

A number of departments where excellence is valued, but more often over-shadowed by divisional senior management who are "long timers" who have lost touch with the realities of today's health care marketplace. However, being at "health care reform central" offers an important chance to be involved in driving much-needed, real change for this country's health care system.

    Cons

In too many departments, politics is king when it comes to employee evaluations and compensation. Also, the so-called non-retailiation policy is a joke. If you speak up in certain departments about any concerns, plan on seeing your positive evaluations and/or raises disappear or possibly even your job.

    Advice to Management

Do a much better job of walking the talk about providing reliable, affordable health insurance that meets the needs of today's consumers. Really enforce the so-called non-retailiation policy at all levels and ensure compliance with various federal and state regulations in all states that the company does business in.
