Pros

passionate about helping customers, development of healthcare products, life/work balance, PTO, flex time, people, tuition reimbursement

Cons

telecommute only if you're a certain job grade and management likes you, some management staff are stuck in the '60s, need to improve diversity, tend to hire staff that's over qualified

Advice to Management

lighten up, just because the economy is bad stop telling staff "you should be glad you have a job", get some diversity training for upper management. stop treating staff like children, a "jean day" once a month would be nice.

    Pros

Good benefits which are comparable with other companies its size, reasonable working hours, nice building, co-workers are supportive and in many departments want to improve member experience

    Cons

This company is too top heavy administratively, lacks infrastructure to compete with other payers effectively, There have been repeated attempts to improve communications with associates however that has fallen short. ineffective middle management makes it difficult to complete assigned tasks. Not seen in favorable light by community.

    Advice to Management

Company needs to clean house from executive level down. Poor business decisions were made which caused the company to be in financial compromise however the individuals that made those decisions remain within the company. There needs to be a fresh perspective.
