Doesn't Recommend
Disapproves of CEO

Pros

- Up until recently, very stable employment
- Good benefits
- Plenty of investment in infrastructure and technology.
- Onsite gym

Cons

- Slow changing company in slow changing industry facing upheaval
- Right now, six conflicting and disorganized visions disguised as "goals." (example-- one goal is to save money, another is provide better health outcomes and a third is to grow)
- Leadership has little insight into how to improve or utilize technology. Not a good place for an IT professional
- Thanks to the last two factors, constant political battles and limited communication between VP fiefdoms

Advice to Management

Pick a vision--either you're going to be the high-end provider, the low-cost provider, or you're going to sell pet insurance.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

    Excellent benefits
    Competitive Salary
    Opportunity for growth

    Cons

Current senior management has abandoned any commitment to supporting North Carolina based employees and business and has begun to outsource highly committed and loyal employees.
Most of the IT Workforce is in a panic as outsourcing continues... the 'business' side of the company will soon feel the impact of this outsourcing... doubt it will be able to adapt to the impact.
Huge number of Prima Donna's throughout the company
Bloated upper management (VPs, SVPs & C levels). Normal workforce shrinks while management essentially remains the same.
High stress in it current 'transformation'.

    Advice to Management

Remember your roots (NC) and take a lesson from the past CEO showing loyalty to your home state employees and surrounding businesses.
Become less concerned about controlling the perception of the company and do things that will speak for themselves and make a real difference.
