No opinion of CEO

Pros

they give a lot of priases and kudos
they pay well for entry level positions
they offer sick days, 401k, and vaction days
new positions are avalible often
the co-workers are nice to work with

Cons

you have to take a 30 min unpaid break a day for an 8 hur shift
in my position customers yell at you all day, everyday
pevious managerial experience really doesn't matter there
comments and suggestions are brushed aside

Advice to Management

offer employees the option to work 4 10.50 hour shifts, employees will call out less
shift changes should be offered to those with senority first, while new hires should be made to work closing shifts

    Pros

Bob's management team wants everyone to succeed. They will do whatever it takes to help you be successful in your job. If you are willing to learn and give of yourself, they will do whatever they can to help you make it.

    Cons

Some of the departments that are part of the operations of Bob's are not run as smoothly as they could. There are some inconsistencies in following procedures, but progress is being made.

    Advice to Management

The management team at Bob's needs no advice from me. They are the best that I have ever worked with and I am proud to work with all of them.

    Pros

They have free cookies and coffee. It helps a lot because you cannot afford to actually buy a cup.
The benefits package is really good. The image of the company that is peddled in training class is wonderful except its not even close to the real deal. If you ever need help with anything certain superiors actually laugh at you for not knowing it and dodge showing you any answers. I'm pretty sure they actually don't have any answers themselves.

    Cons

The corporate customer service department which you depend on as an employee is horrific. The delivery teams cost you a lot of headaches and hassles. The dress code is absolutely unnecessary, selling a $399 sofa does not warrant any one to dress up beyond shorts and flip flops.

    Advice to Management

This is rough. There are several that are amazing then you have your bad apples where you cannot figure out how this person ever figured out how to tie their shoes in the morning. You're a manager of a furniture store... why the ego? You're not curing cancer or anything important.
