Pros

Employee benefits can't be beat! Fair salaries, amount of paid time off, and flexible schedules.

Cons

Comes with many of the headaches commonly associated with a very large corporation.

Advice to Management

Many employees never have an opportunity to meet the customer but would like to know how the customer views the products that we have helped to develop. Please don't forget to provide us with feedback, both good and bad!

    Pros

    A relatively stable company where the job can't easily be off-shored to India. The job can range from very exciting and fulfilling to mundane paper-work depending on where in a design stage or sustainability stage the program is. The pay is industry average but with the benefit package it becomes pretty great.

    Cons

    The vacation package is horrible. leadership does not have efficient foresight of future business needs. the work-force is aging rapidly and the tribal knowledge and core competencies are going out the door when they retire. no effective method of training and skill improvement.

    Advice to Management

    If you want top-notch skills then do not expect to get them at industry average wages. Provide clear goals, plan ahead so the work balance is not so erratic and driven by customer pull. Work to better maintain core knowledge and skills in-house. stop relying on vendors, suppliers, and contractors so heavily as have done in 787 program.
