Please monitor your store managers and what they're actually accomplishing. Also, care more about your employees. It was very difficult to get in touch with upper management that didn't seem to care about your existence.

    I worked at Books-A-Million full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible scheduling, discounts on merchandise, fun co-workers

    Cons

I had a quota on selling membership cards and "free" magazine subscriptions; I was told to clean the entire store while I was the only cashier, so I could either help customers or make the store look nice- bad, bad scheduling

    Advice to Management

Magazines for Millionaire's drives customers away and makes the company look spammy
