I have been working at Boston Consulting Group full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I have been fortunate to work at several other companies in my career. BCG is truly a special place. We have incredibly intelligent individuals with a diversity of backgrounds. We provide wonderful training and networking opportunities which creates a supportive environment for mentorship and growth. Very few companies provide great pay and benefits combined with the opportunity to continue to stretch yourself and grow. BCG has provide me a platform to grow my strategic thinking. Now the firm is supporting getting me a seat at the table with some of the most important boards that are changing the world. And we get to do this much earlier in our careers at BCG than we would at other companies.

    Cons

Work-life balance is a real challenge. As you get more senior, you will continue to have more people calling on your time which makes it hard at times to balance family with work

    Advice to Management

Continue to innovate the consulting model. Be mindful of changes from digital and big data tools. Invest in growing our staff to understand these shifts and make sure that we do fail to innovate.
