Pros

Great promotion, development and training opportunities. Opens a ton of door to the next chapter

Cons

Travel can be hard - often gone 3-4 days a week. Fine if you are single and like it, but hard on families.

I have been working at Boston Consulting Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    *Amazingly smart people
    *High quality output
    *Strong compensation plan

    Cons

    *Work/life balance is horrendous
*Zero job security - when the economy is down, hoards of consultants are let go
*Very political despite what it claims

    Advice to Management

Implement a true "one firm" strategy - politics are rampant, with each office constituting its own little fiefdom with its favorites. Also stop lying to yourselves about your employees being happy - everyone's here to get 1) a resume-booster, 2) money, 3) combination thereof, knowing full well that the product of their labor ends up in Partners' pockets
