I have been working at Bottom Dollar Food full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Feel valued coming to work everyday no matter the position.
Pay is competitive with industry standards
Plenty of opportunity for growth

Cons

Not many cons versus today's jobs. If I had to pick one it would be that working in retail operations can be very demanding at times.

Advice to Management

Keep up the good work

I have been working at Bottom Dollar Food full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Close to home.
Attempts a family atmosphere among associates
Says they care about the employees, have seen some understanding
    Great savings on groceries
Health benefits are better than most retailers if you are willing to follow the requirements.
Some employee "perks" if you can afford them.

    Cons

Very, Very demanding. Expectations are very high. A bit high for the resources that are given.
Hire too many employees only to cut back with in 2 months on hours. Disappointing to some associates.
Too many former "large or big box" retail managers and upper management for the smallness and the type of the business.
Most above store management is not approachable, like to give the impression they are, but if you have nothing important to them to say it is a blow off.

    Advice to Management

Loose the attitude that you know it all. Most of you are new to the company don't pretend you know everything. Including those above store management. Some ideas are not good for this type of store, admit it and move on.

I worked at Bottom Dollar Food (More than 3 years)

    Pros

fun work environment, awesome co-workers and manager, flexible schedule, surprisingly polite customers for the most part

    Cons

sometimes understaffed especially during busy times, annoying rules such as being fired for scanning a store card or entering your own phone number to help a customer out

    Advice to Management

the company closed down at the beginning of 2015, sadly corporate greed affected a lot of people's lives
