I have been working at Bridgestone Americas full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Supportive atmosphere and great people. Decent pay and benefits and the time off is great. The work force is older and many are close to retirement so there will be room to move to preferred shifts soon.

    Cons

Union is a bit out of touch with its members and the training is very hit and miss. Twelve hour shifts takes getting used too and there are no sick days or even vacation time for your first year.

    Advice to Management

Listen and implement. There is a lot of "Us versus them" mentality that is due to the union/management environment.
