I worked at Bridgestone Global full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Somewhat decent pay due to overtime
    Performance bonuses for managers
Many different little ways to earn spiffs, giftcards, daytrips
    Decent Benefits
    Always hiring

    Cons

Closed only four days per year
    Open Saturday and Sunday
    Micromanagement from higher ups
People hate getting their cars worked on (you're constantly dealing with people who are in really bad moods and think it is your job to rip them off)
Bonus objectives can be overly lofty depending on the store - you can have low volume low profit stores making max bonus, while your top producing people/stores are only making base pay because they aren't beating their own record setting numbers from last year.
    Breakneck work pace
    Always hiring

    Advice to Management

Remember to praise as well as criticize
    Give raises with promotions
Restructure bonuses (sometimes the status quo is an OK thing if you're doing well - find a way to compensate the people you want to keep or they will go somewhere else)
Sundays off - The money you would save in retention/morale would more than make of for the money lost for being closed. Some stores don't even cover their expenses on Sundays.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Bridgestone has flexibility, work environment, comradery among employees, strong branding, great resources and world class execution with certain product lines.

    Cons

Bridgestone is too slow to react to the ever changing market which allows the competition to gain ground and market share. Sometimes a company as big as Bridgestone loses sight of the goal being as large as they are.

    Advice to Management

Trust the voice of your account representatives with their ears to the ground. Their experience with the market in my opinion is more valuable than any pie chart or graph.
