    Pros

    1. Good working environment. Colleagues are willing to help each other out.
    2. Good healthcare benefits and employee perks.
    3. Strong job security.
    4. Opportunities to develop further within the company

    Cons

    1. Slow decision making process.
    2. Japanese management culture is not something everyone can get use to.
    3. Pay is average or slightly on the low-end. Bonuses are also low.
    4. Japanese top managers are shuffled globally by HQ every 2 years, which means the company suffers from a lack of focus on mid to long term goals.

    Advice to Management

    Trying to achieve mid-term and long-term goals requires not only good planning, but also good and careful execution. Managers, regardless of nationality, should be given clear tasks and key performance indicators to achieve overall performance, and must be held accountable even if they have been transferred out of the department.
