I have been working at Bright House Networks full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Great benefits and paid holidays

Cons

The pay structure makes no sense

Advice to Management

Change the pay/raise structure. I started with 12 years of knowledge and had the same pay rate as someone right out of high school with 0 experience! How does that make sense? I am still struggling to make an hourly rate I made at 17 years old after almost 4 years at the company.

    Pros

good health, 401, free cable, freindly coworkers. avg salary 40-50k, fsa

    Cons

if your're in sales pay has been slowly going down every year. Changes policy on how to treat a customer every 2-3 years even when winning awards on a certain method. no advancement avail. seniority doesnt make a difference on shifts. policy is set to discourage taking vacation, sick, fmla time bcuz commission will nosedive. many "leads" are useless.

    Advice to Management

dont rely on a consultant firm to dictate 100% of your policy. they are there to SELL you what THEY think you should do. Let sales concentrate on doing sales and not waste time troubleshooting or billing. Stick with one policy and dont take money away from your revenue makers. Set a flat and FAIR commission per item no matter if you sell 20 of them or 100 of them. open a company daycare for employees.

    Pros

Great place to work with excellent benefits

    Cons

Constant shift bid changes every 3 months. Also hard to move up with the company; several jobs open up and Bright House normally hire external for better opportunities.. But great Job:)
