    Amazing mission-focused startup

    Pros

Leadership -- the current leadership is fantastic. They're experienced and work well together. I've seen some less-than-positive reviews about the CEO Dave and strongly disagree with them. My experience working with him has been very different. He's passionate and opinionated (what good CEO isn't?) but is very trusting in his team and lets those who are capable run as far as they want. Mission-driven -- it's hard to find a company with a good business model that also has a meaningful mission. If you're passionate about early education or children, brightwheel is that company. We're making a difference for millions of teachers, students and parents and are on a path to continue improving their lives. Team -- this is usually the first thing I tell prospective brightwheelers about why I love working here. The entire team is incredible. People are smart and dedicated and a LOT of fun to work with. Startup environment -- this could easily be a con for some people, but for me it's one of brightwheel's strengths. We're still a small startup and are constantly changing and evolving. If you're looking for a fast-paced company where you rarely get a breather and are always learning new things then brightwheel is perfect. You can try out different roles, work with different people, and develop new skillsets.

    Cons

Compensation -- brightwheel is below market. There's a lot of talk about benchmarking but the HR team is missing something. Expect to start at 20-30% below where you would be elsewhere and don't expect significant raises or equity refreshes. If you join brightwheel it should be because you're looking for a great mission-driven education company with a great team that is on a promising trajectory.

One of the, if not best companies I’ve worked for!

    Pros

They actually value work / life balance and show it. Other companies I’ve worked for just say it. Pay is fair for the role. Managers are down to earth, which is sometimes rare. Company is growing not saturated like some companies so room for growth. The product your selling is actually the best. Have had to push junk products at previous jobs to keep my job so feel good about pushing Brightwheel because it’s actually the best and families love it.

    Cons

Honestly not really any can think of…Brightwheel is really just a great company overall. The overall culture is great. Any negative reviews from SDR’s are going to be from folks who just really shouldn’t be in sales to begin with, as some are just not cut out for sales.
