      Pros

Leadership -- the current leadership is fantastic. They're experienced and work well together. I've seen some less-than-positive reviews about the CEO Dave and strongly disagree with them. My experience working with him has been very different. He's passionate and opinionated (what good CEO isn't?) but is very trusting in his team and lets those who are capable run as far as they want. Mission-driven -- it's hard to find a company with a good business model that also has a meaningful mission. If you're passionate about early education or children, brightwheel is that company. We're making a difference for millions of teachers, students and parents and are on a path to continue improving their lives. Team -- this is usually the first thing I tell prospective brightwheelers about why I love working here. The entire team is incredible. People are smart and dedicated and a LOT of fun to work with. Startup environment -- this could easily be a con for some people, but for me it's one of brightwheel's strengths. We're still a small startup and are constantly changing and evolving. If you're looking for a fast-paced company where you rarely get a breather and are always learning new things then brightwheel is perfect. You can try out different roles, work with different people, and develop new skillsets.

      Cons

Compensation -- brightwheel is below market. There's a lot of talk about benchmarking but the HR team is missing something. Expect to start at 20-30% below where you would be elsewhere and don't expect significant raises or equity refreshes. If you join brightwheel it should be because you're looking for a great mission-driven education company with a great team that is on a promising trajectory.

        Pros

The work life balance, culture, the respect, the mission---it's all amazing and it's one of the very best companies I've ever worked for. It's remote, flexible, and there are many opportunities to grow!

        Cons

To be honest, I haven't had anything to not love yet! Going on 2 years.

          Pros

-remote work -they provide equipment -work life balance is okay

          Cons

-Saw it on another review and couldnt be more correct- you could be the highest performer for two years straight and as soon as you miss a goal one month, no matter what the personal circumstances are, they will throw you in the trash. They will cut off your insurance the same day, and they will absolutely screw you on your last check. - favoritism is extreme -no 401k matching - ceo claims to not care about profit but again if you are not actively making them money you are nothing to them. they told me they are switching the commission structure to rely on how much revenue you bring in/keep. Yet they dont care about profit? Interesting -they say there is room for growth but there really isnt. you could move into management i guess but then you and 30 other people are applying for one role when it comes up so i mean there isnt much room for growth -management will straight up have meetings and give team members “the tea” about why someone was fired which is highly unprofessional -zero diversity. every single leader is a white woman or middle aged white man.

Do recruiters actually look at linked in profiles after a candidate has applied for a job? My resume is the most updated document, not so much my linked in profile. Is it a must to update my profile (with info about what was done in each role) or does a well executed resume suffice?
