I worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Nice working environment with a great cafeteria.

    Cons

Lack of communication, no team player attitude, lack of understanding of roles and responsibilities and treated contractors like they had nothing to contribute. Had a malfunctioned lap top with bad battery the first week of employment.

    Advice to Management

Be honest and provide adequate communications on expectations and allow employee to contribute to roles and responsibility whether contractor or not. Management should be evaluated to ensure they are utilizing finances correctly and hiring the right talent for positions and giving adequate communication with new employees.

I worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Nice working environment as far as the workforce in general, which tends to be very professional and culturally diverse. Compensation and benefits are competitive as is work/life balance overall.

    Cons

Frequent organizational restructuring creates chaos and undermines morale. Employees are viewed as disposable. There is very little opportunity to advance career-wise.

    Advice to Management

Consider the true costs of chronic restructuring.
