I have been working at British Gas full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

good salary for the role, excellent pension and benefits, friendly colleagues

Cons

A real lack of customer service quality management, systems in place but not the results, status quo is kept too and only British Gas experience is valid, most managers I would say are supervisors at most

Advice to Management

More needs to be done to change the ethos of "it does that" or "thats agent behaviour"

    Pros

    Flexible, reasonable benefits, good work/life balance. Treated very well

    Cons

    Opportunities for promotion are limited, especially if your already in a job where your most valued. If you want to move up or sideways, your face needs to fit and it wont happen if they cant find a suitable replacement.

    Look after the people that look after you

    Pros

    Very few. working on Christmas day was well payed along with a nice hamper filled with goodies.

    Cons

    Often the team leaders are only TL's because they've been there for a long time. Despite being total idiots. Working for Dyno on the phones, having to keep all calls to under a few minutes reduces customer service ability. people rewarded for bad customer service. Bonus does not exist. physically impossible to attain. The boss man though is a bit of a numpty. later on Company called to say they had over payed me and i had to repay 12 pounds. Classy.
