I have been working at Buck Institute as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very positive learning atmosphere. All my lab associates have tremendous respect for each other. Lots of social activities too.

    Cons

Traffic to and from the institute can be really bad. The commuter train service has been delayed and won't have service to the city.

    Advice to Management

Thank you for providing such a positive environment and for not taking personal skills for granted. I appreciate all the time that is spent tanning me new skills.

I worked at Buck Institute full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Excellent opportunities, published multiple papers, great funds/resources at RA level, brilliant minds,

    Cons

extremely long hours, must be able to handle criticism well, must be able to move forward despite set backs/obstacles-not just with the science but with management as well,
