Pros

Good entry level sales training.
Good managerial and corporate support
Medical, Dental, Vision PPO plan
Salary based pay which is good for those straight out of college starting in sales.

Cons

Relatively low salary pay, no commission, bonus is fairly low..avg 3-5k/yr
You will have to work nights and weekends sometimes.

Advice to Management

Maybe create a chance for long-term sales reps by starting a commission based compensation or higher salary. Create a more structured training for items sold outside of the Buckeye line.

    Doesn't Recommend

    Pros

    Sales training
Immediate sales experience with many types of businesses
    Opportunity for advancement within company
    Steady income despite performance
They will give you plenty of tools to use

    Cons

    Low pay
Sales rep position is a temporary position, either be promoted or find a new job. Generally, if you have not been promoted is some manner after 2 - 3 years, you are not going to be. Find a new job. They will eventually let you go. Sales Rep position is not designed for long term employment.
No commission so motivation is mostly driven by opportunity for promotion

    Advice to Management

At some point opportunities for advancement will be stagnant as the company slows in its growth. Will need to restructure how sales reps are compensated as opportunity for advancement will become rare.

I have been working at Buckeye International, Inc. full-time

    Pros

My manager taught me how to be in sales. This was my first sales job out of college. You get to set your own schedule. Good bonus if you get new business. Already promoted once since joining Buckeye.

    Cons

It is a lot to learn in the beginning. You have to learn how to sell and what the products are. It was intimidating at first.
