I have been working at Burlington Stores part-time (Less than a year)

Pros

always looking forward to see my coworkers every time i'm scheduled. other than this, nothing else i would say.

Cons

management level doesn't really care about their employees. they have morning meetings everyday but if you happen not to be there then you would not be informed. to maximize employee's availability for the store benefit, they have been hiring a lot more people and would only have certain amount of hours to distribute for all. which means more people but less hours.

Advice to Management

for once please stop making it all about the store. praise and appreciate your employees don't just always look at the negatives.

I worked at Burlington Stores full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Salary ok but not great, vacation and paid days off for mgt. for hourly employees who are full time(about 15% of staff) get vacation and benefits

    Cons

for mgt. 50 to 60 hours per week, not enough bodies to run store, hire at minimum wage,
mgt. at regional and national level a revolving door, no benefits for part time people, many stores in poor repair, store management has little control-has to "partner" with regional associate before dong anything

    Advice to Management

, stay with one game plan, pay associates fairly, take responsibility for your actions.

I have been working at Burlington Stores full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great co-workers, a lot of learning opportunities, on-site gym and cafeteria, open forums where leadership shares their vision with associates, decent benefits and PTO policies

    Cons

Terrible work-life balance - leaders often shift priorities quickly and associates are expected to be available any time to react with little notice. It's hard to gain traction when planning strategies because the company does not know who it wants to be.

    Advice to Management

Trust your associates to manage their workload and don't micromanage. Decide who you want to be so we can move forward and grow together.
