I worked at Busch Gardens part-time (More than a year)

Pros

Fun coworkers, access to all of the parks and special events, special deals, seems to be fairly easy to move up within.

Cons

Park is open 365 so if you work in-park don't expect to get off holidays, sometimes a high turnover rate for in-park employees. Hard for those who no longer work there to get a job there again - many are posted internally only. The attire - yikes.

Advice to Management

When scheduling people for holidays, consider asking for preferences first and looking at who lives closer versus who lives farther away (think college kids) and who would likely need a few days off in a row to visit family or who could go for a day. Post more jobs outside of the internal database. Re-do the wardrobes!

I worked at Busch Gardens part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

My stage manager was fantastic. Loved working Howl-o-scream.

    Cons

Working with the public. You always get cases of guest complaints and still have to put on a smile, or in my case a scary face.

    Advice to Management

Be more prepared when it comes to open our maze. It was constantly being worked on well into the second week of Howl-o-scream being opened. Looked badly on all of us.
