Positive Outlook

I have been working at Busch Gardens part-time (More than a year)

Pros

Works really well around my busy and all-over-the-place school schedule. Really good about time off for school and personal events. Not very stressful, so I can keep my main focus on school and I don't have work popping into my head every minute. Coworkers are all out-going, fun and happy people.

Cons

Low pay, working holidays and crazy hours (i.e. howlo scream shifts till 3am)

I have been working at Busch Gardens part-time

    Pros

Great team members - everyone is close-knit. Even the foreigners.
Guest interaction - maing someone's day is the best thing in the world
Ride nights/preview nights - always fun to preview new rides/events
    Discounts and free tickets
Riding rides after work - nothing like de-stressing on a roller coaster after a long day of work
Great leadership team - everyone is friendly and professional. Totally awesome to deal with.

    Cons

Dealing with weather - it gets real hot and real cold during the operating season. Not fun when you work outside all day and deal with the elements.
Rude guests - getting cussed out is NOT fun
Low pay - wish the park paid us more for what we have to deal with, but it's a theme park.
Long hours can burn you out (especially during busy periods) - I'm pretty energetic so I burn out easily.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Busch Gardens part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

My stage manager was fantastic. Loved working Howl-o-scream.

    Cons

Working with the public. You always get cases of guest complaints and still have to put on a smile, or in my case a scary face.

    Advice to Management

Be more prepared when it comes to open our maze. It was constantly being worked on well into the second week of Howl-o-scream being opened. Looked badly on all of us.
