Negative Outlook

I have been working at Business & Decision Group full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Stable company, at least for now. Some high quality employees, good partnerships.

Cons

where to start. Outdated systems and people. Unclear and unrealistic expectations. They lack any direction unless you count changing directions every week one. Most of their employees including upper level leadership all actively seeking new jobs. No follow through, not up on industry trends across the board.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Business & Decision Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - BND has a great reputation with Microsoft, so you'll have the opportunity for some very good exposure.
    - Work with talented people
    - Work flexibility

    Cons

    - Upper management is -extremely- shady. They overbill clients, force you onto projects they know are death marches for profitability.
    - Extremely poor project management business unit (extremely inexperienced PMO in Scottsdale).
    - Performance evaluations are pretty non existent.
    - Lots of politics in the office
    - Almost all Senior Consultants are forced to take on additional roles in the name of "personal growth" and "management positions", truth be told the promotions are granted politically, and forcing additional roles are simply setting you up for failure.
    - Untechnical managers in manager roles
    - Encouraged to cheat on certifications.

    Advice to Management

You hire extremely talented people, why not treat them so they'll enjoy working for you?

  2. "Good people, but poor services portfolio management"

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

The dedication of the employee base at B&D is admirable and there are pockets of industry-credible capabilities.

    Cons

Poor strategic guidance and collaborative planning amongst a multitude of separately-run practices (both in the US and abroad). Doing too many things sub-optimally and not enough time spent on the better-performing areas.

    Advice to Management

    Focus on the "con" above.
