Pros

There are some really nice and hard working employees who starve to bring the change in the company. CEO seems to be a great guy but need some grip on the company before it slips off.

Cons

- CTO has no clue on what he is trying to bring on the table. He is just fooling everyone by so called "PROCESS". He alone caused huge loss of talent in recent years and now company is hiring interns because he can't retain good talent. Unfortunately, camp itself doesn't care about the good employees, instead they are busy focusing on few toxic people, who are polluting the atmosphere. - WFH Policy is a joke. Actually, there is no such thing as Work from Home in Camp but there are "Selective" people who hardly shows up in the office twice a week and no one take action against them because they are "SELECTIVE". - You can't expect to have work life balance here. Management (which is just one person in camp) wants you to work for 10 hours a day + once a week release which goes for 5 hours. Lol...I am damn serious about it.

Thank you for your well thought out comments. I apologize it took me longer to get back to you. I hear a lot of what you are saying, and would love to hear more. I know CAMP does not have a WFH policy in place. I can assure you that nobody is hired with the belief that we offer WFH as we try to keep a team oriented setup. If some people were granted "SELECTIVE" treatment, that is something that was handled on a case by case basis. I know we consistently discuss the idea and how we can make it work, but at the current time we feel it is important to embrace the in office team mentality. In certain times of crunch we do ask employees to offer up more of their time to ensure we reach our goals. Our normal business hours are more than reasonable and I have never received any personal complains about out hours of operation. I know when I have seen the development teams stay late, they are almost always given that time back with late start times or early leave times. I value your opinion and if you would like to discuss more my email is dbuffardi@campsystems.com, I would love to hear you out, and I would keep your personal info confidential. In response to your comments about our CTO, I offer you this. There are many things that go on behind the scenes that even I do not know. All these things effect what decisions and processes we are able to move forward or not. Sometimes, a decision or process may not be favorable for the team, but I can assure you that the choices that are made by the CTO have the overall best intention for CAMP as a business. Again thank you for your comments and if you wish to email me with more comments or info, you have my info.

Pros

Stable job opportunity if you can handle covering for everyone that calls out and all the pissed off customers yelling at you. They will not fire you as long as you show up and do the minimum.

Cons

In addition to the avalanche of work that can't possibility be managed, Camp Systems will not allot pay raises other than a 3% annual. I now take home less than I started with 3 years ago due to the increase in employer paid benefits. Turnover is atrocious and you will make up the difference with the workload on a daily bases. Working early shifts, late shift, and weekends. Covering for other office locals when employees are out, which is quite often. Senior employees are rewarded job performance while junior employees are often brow beat by the Senior's for speaking up or asking questions.
