Pros

The team environment and direct supervisors are the best part of the job! Working with developmentally disabled clients with behavioral issues can be challenging at times but you are able to feel supported as you gain this experience and confidence in responding to crisis situations. The flexible hours also allow for independence in setting your own schedule. It is wonderful to have a job with benefits that provides Clinical Supervision and interns earn hours toward Social Work or Marriage and Family licensure! CBEM also provides all employees with company iPhones and MacBook Laptops.

Cons

This job is not for everyone as it does require a crisis response and holding a 24/7 crisis hotline. The interviewers do a great job explaining the job; however, some employees "forget" what they signed up for and complain about doing the job duties. I worked alongside both the individuals who left the negative reviews and can confirm they were unwilling to be team players, complete the basic job duties, and did everything they could to avoid meeting with clients or do the work they were being paid for so I wouldn't put a lot of merit into what they wrote.

Pros

-CBEM Company focus on working with clients with unique behavioral attributes. -They are passionate about their job, the clients and their staff -Hybrid work setting before the acquisition by Redwood Family. Not sure whether hybrid setting will continue moving forward -Flexible work schedule -If you are working in the field, chances of growth and advancements happen frequently -50$ stipend for health, gym-focused program -401k -mileage reimbursements ( think its $0.66 for every mile traveled) -There is a sense of hope when clients respond to the support given to them by our teams; therefore, you develop faith in humanity

Cons

-Underpaid -Chances of pay increase depends and it is small -Field staff could face unique situations that not everyone is mentally prepared for; this you must keep in mind -Lots of driving for critical field specialist. Not always a fan of this. -Not necessarily a con, but an anxiety-based response to the acquisition. So whatever format and policy CBEM has introduced to you recently, it could be subject to change and revised to fit their vision.
