Excellent benefits
Collaborative team environment
High earnings potential

Cons

High workload; one size fits all model
Poor orientation and training
Outdated support and sales/marketing tools

Advice to Management

Update technology capabilities to decrease workload on all departments; outdated processes are decreasing quality of products.
Increase the number of managers and their responsibilities to streamline internal communication, problem solving and the production process

I have been working at CBI Research full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You can learn a lot about the life sciences industry, even/especially if you don't have a science background. The company is doing it's best to improve office atmosphere and since CBI is now part of UBM, you get some great benefits (including good health insurance, eye, dental, volunteer time off, tuition reimbursement...). If there is an idea you have, there are opportunities to have your new ideas come into fruition, and to learn new skills (Salesforce, Hubspot, Excel, etc).

    Cons

I read a lot of comments on here about management issues but I personally have not have had a big issue (and I'm not management). If you are not self-motivated, this is not going to be the job for you. You also need to be communicative and if someone isn't communicating correctly, YOU need to speak up!

    Advice to Management

Keep heading in the right direction and fostering positivity.

I worked at CBI Research full-time

    Pros

The health benefits do not cover the therapy you will need.

If you are interested in Life Sciences (Healthcare, Pharma, Biotech) you are way better off working as an administrative assistant for the company of your choice. With CBI, you will never have the opportunity to truly learn enough about a space to develop an expertise or to secure a spot in the industry. Don't let yourself get used.

    Cons

DO NOT SPEAK UP. If you express any dissatisfaction, you will be alienated by management, from your peers and cross-functionally, across the organization. If you are not getting what you need to succeed, get used to it. Your opinion is not wanted. However, if management has an issue with you, they will let you know by cutting your resources and dodging your emails.

    Advice to Management

    Bullying is bad, mkay?
    Business ethics is a thing.
