I have been working at CBL & Associates Properties for more than 10 years

    Pros

Good people and work life balance. Chattanooga is a great city with lots to do.

    Cons

Retail industry is struggling although Company has made plans to change and redevelop, it all takes time. Several executives way past retirement age. Recent layoffs and wage freezes.

    Advice to Management

Take care of the employees you have left. Good ones are already leaving.

    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I worked at CBL & Associates Properties full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Some good working relationships Opportunities to move around Casual days

    Cons

Very reactive environment, no looking ahead The work load is chaotic, there is no chance of getting caught up The gossip culture is toxic It's who you know, if you want to get promoted CEO gets a 34% raise while the workforce is lucky to get 1% 'we've always done it this way' mindset runs rampant Let's not forget the constant Flux of lawsuits

    Advice to Management

Stop relying on 10%of your staff to carry the company Place knowledgeable people in management positions, not the ones who are fun to drink with Stop handing out frivolous promotions to the inner circle when you've told the company funds are tight and you've fired half the field staff.
