Pros

The regional sales manager is outstanding. A good company in a very tough market (construction). Ramp-up commissions are excellent.

Cons

After 6-month ramp-up commissions decline substantially. Leads are often out-of-date.

Advice to Management

Find more ways to generate current and up-to-date leads for your sales staff. Calling a company that went out of business years ago is a waste. There are new construction companies starting every day - find them.

    Pros

Great managers. Daily sales meetings. Paid training. Generous commission structure. Great facility and co-workers. Protected leads. They told me everything I was to expect, I just couldn't cut it.

    Cons

The job itself. Cold calling and constant rejection made me feel exhausted each day .

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good model you have going. Maybe have sale recorded from birth to close for training.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at CDCNews full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Nice co-workers, decent health benefits and a good amount of time off.

    Cons

Reverse raises, high stress, mediocre pay, somewhat clueless management. Zero room for advancement. When taking a job, there's the wants-tos and the gots-tos. This one definitely falls into the gots-tos category, but you can do much, much worse. The meek need not apply due to the job's high stress level, but if you need to pay your bills and you are out of options, then this is the job for you.

    Advice to Management

Find ways to reduce stress. Cut waste rather than pay.
