    Pros

You bond with the people you’re working on the ground with because war brings you together.

    Cons

    - Lack of clarity. NO ONE knows why something is happening. And instead of asking ‘why’, leadership plunges forward and panicked like they’ve been lit on fire. The result is a convoluted mess of objectives that radically change based on the person you’re talking to. - Whiplash product decisions. Maybe your products wouldn’t be so awful if you actually allowed time for proper research and design to happen. It was constantly putting down the tracks as the train was coming, and for a company with so many unnecessary processes, you would think that they’d know how to plan ahead. - Toxic environment. This is mostly for the UX team. Never in my career have I had a leadership team be so condescending, never in my career have I been so micromanaged, never have I been on a team with leaders who so obviously dislike each other. And leadership doesn’t communicate with each other. So it’s up to you to tell each manager what the other manager said, even though they have meetings specifically for managers to discuss objectives. - ZERO training. They throw you into the deep end and then get mad at you for asking questions or send you to one of your other 5 managers to get an answer. And if you’re lucky to get direction from a manager, it directly contradicts the directions that another manager gave you.
