I worked at CDM Data full-time

    Pros

Flexible work schedule (work your own hours), never a problem taking a full or half day off, don't have to sit in a cubicle all day (outside on a dealer's lot), reimbursement for fuel was very good (you will run your car into the ground though), get to work around cars (shop/browse while you work), very little supervision so you have freedom to take breaks when you want.

    Cons

Things were good until 2013 when Xcite Advertising bought CDM, then the slow descent began, no raises, Xcite only wanted the CA market and didn't care about other areas of the country so they were basically ignored. There is no interest in sending sales reps to knock on doors in my territory and generate new business. Xcite hires contract labor which typically means people that last a few months and then move on.

    Advice to Management

Xcite needs to at least act like they care about CDM's employees, in those last two years (of 11 total), no one with Xcite ever spoke to me, I can't tell you one person's name at Xcite either, there is a complete disconnect between Xcite and CDM's employees. They hired contract labor which completely goes against the grain of the principals that CDM was founded on. CDM was a good company but Xcite is just killing CDM with death by a thousand cuts.
