I worked at CGA full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great work life balance, good pay scale, good benefits package

    Cons

Six levels of management for a department of twenty people leads to an utter impossibility for those with something to do to get it done.
Tendency to reinvent the wheel, at great length and expense, rather than spend half the time adapting something that is already in use.

    Advice to Management

Reduce number of managers by about 50%, empower the employees a bit more, research available alternatives in the marketplace before spending years and a fortune trying to reinvent from scratch. For the compensation package you're offering, you should have people willing and able to take on more authority.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

    Great benefits...nothing more to mention

    Cons

Layers of VP's eating out every day on the association's tab. Ineffective CEO. A complex matrix of 6 - 7 layers of authority. One VP in particular was so adverse to running her team that she hired an Enforcer to berate and frustrate the team, under the guise that she once had a serious illness (which she recovered from)

    Advice to Management

Let's hope that the merger will improve the practices and policies
